J The Project Coordinator will report directly to the Manager of Projects. This position is responsible for being a focal point and a point of interaction with customers, while overseeing day to day operations. The Coordinator will ensure that projects are adequately staffed with competent workers, required resources are available to workers and that the client is provided with safety services as outlined in the contact.
- With guidance from a Project Manager, assist in managing the entire lifecycle of projects, ranging from strategic planning initiatives to tactical activities
- Participate in the Project Management Plan activities
- Develop detailed project plans ensuring availability and allocation of resources
- Verify functionality and quality of equipment before use
- Support forecasting and deploying manpower in accordance with upcoming projects and project needs
- Monitor project progress and stay on budget, scope, and timeline
- Interact with customers on site visits
- Ensure compliance of customer policies on site; ensure site workers receive relevant information
- Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to Safety Team Leads, Safety Watches, Spark Watches, Equipment Technicians and Air Watches.
- Assess and document worker competency
- Work with the finance team to ensure that projects are on budget
- Review timesheets daily to ensure accuracy and forward for processing according to the Company’s billing process.
- Complete a Daily Activity Report and forward to the Field Supervisor for review. This form is completed daily.
- Support recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining workers
- 3 years experience in industrial project management
- 5 years experience in Oil and Gas sector or Safety services
- Knowledge of authoritative standards including NIOSH, NFPA, CSA and Canadian Provincial Health & Safety legislation
- Knowledge of TDG, and Transport Canada regulations
- H2S Alive, CSO, First Aid and CPR
- Successfully complete drug and alcohol screening
- Bravo Target Safety approved driver including vehicles and trailers
- Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
