Production/Shop Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production/Shop Supervisor to lead our manufacturing operations and ensure the smooth, efficient, and safe production of high-quality products. In this role, you will oversee daily shop activities, coordinate team efforts, and maintain strict adherence to safety protocols. Your leadership will drive productivity, foster a positive work environment, and uphold the highest standards of quality in our production facility. Duties

- Supervise daily shop floor operations, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and safely

- Coordinate assembly line activities, assigning tasks to team members and monitoring workflow progress

- Operate and oversee the use of forklifts, power tools, hand tools, and other equipment to facilitate manufacturing processes

- Conduct regular safety inspections, enforce safety policies, and promote a culture of safety awareness among staff

- Manage inventory levels within the warehouse and manufacturing areas, ensuring proper storage and handling of materials

- Provide training and mentorship to team members on equipment operation, assembly procedures, and safety practices

- Collaborate with management to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity

Requirements

- Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility or factory environment with hands-on mechanical knowledge

- Prior supervisory experience in a production or shop setting preferred

- Familiarity with assembly line processes and the use of hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and warehouse equipment

- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to manufacturing operations

- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus but not required

- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing workflow and inventory

- Effective communication skills to lead teams and coordinate with other departments

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
