POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor’s main role is to supervise the extrusion department and coordinate activities of workers to manufacture a wide variety of custom extrusions.
- Lead the shift and achieve desired results by affectively communication job expectations and taking ownership of team performance through planning, organizing, directing, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Train and develop employees, identify high-potential individuals, and recommend cross-training opportunities within the team.
- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing quality-related procedures, policies and organization standards.
- Achieve daily scheduled production output as per plan. Anticipate risk and take corrective action in advance.
- Enforce policy and procedures by training, feedback, corrective action, and progressive discipline procedures as per the company policy.
- Manage the daily operation of all presses for maximum output.
- Collaborating effectively within the die shop, packing, maintenance, and quality departments to ensure production targets are consistently met.
- Identify negative trends and intervene in advance to achieve output.
- Ensure presses are running at planned productivity and recovery.
- Ensure all daily and weekly tasks such as attendance taking, timecards approvals, quality checks, weekly JSP training, work order checklist etc., are completed in a timely manner.
- Implement cost reduction, level systems and procedures and initiate a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Supportive of all the shifts and departments within the Lakeshore Plants, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Motivated to assist employees in achieving objectives through communication and feedback.
- Ability to identify negative trends and intervene in advance to achieve output.
- Experienced with EPCIS and ERP systems.
- Independent problem-solving skills with the ability to create and implement solutions.
- Ability to liaise with various functional departments and build an effective relationship.
- Experienced in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Leadership skills to drive and motivate the team to achieve targets.
- Ability to perform well in high pressure situations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Degree or diploma in a relevant field (Engineering) preferred.
- Ability to work 12 hours continental shift schedule (Day & Night Shifts).
- Plant Environment.
- Exposure to loud noise.
- Overtime as required.
- Salary Rate $70,000- $90,000 based on experience.
- Eligible for overtime.
