Summary

Manages Field Technicians, Warehouse and Support personnel. Ensures jobs are completed in a timely, safe manner. Ensures all materials are ready for each job. Responsible for the overall operation and condition of the facility including: infrastructure, housekeeping, grounds, security, truck fleet, and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manages all Field Technicians on a daily basis and manages multiple jobs concurrently.

Coordinate material and job duties in the warehouse

Reviews completed service tickets for productivity and quality control.

Coordinates vendors for subcontract work, as needed.

Communicates with customer counterpart regarding the status of the job. Updates SP Intranet spreadsheets in regards to: reclamation, inventory, pricing, etc.

Order tools & supplies for Warehouse & jobs

Oversees the repairs and upkeep of facility, grounds, trucks and equipment

Get bids and hire contractors to work on the facility (i.e., plumbing, custodial, roofing, etc.)

Assist other locations with ordering supplies.

Participates with HR to recruit and evaluate capabilities of new technicians.

Conducts performance reviews and evaluates line of progression for each technician and support staff.

Administers with HR disciplinary actions with direct reports, as needed.

Approves and processes time-off of all direct reports.

Must participate and successfully complete all training as required by the company. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Skills, and/or Experience

Diploma, Degree or Technical certificate with 5+ years’ related experience in operations. Previous experience managing employees required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Mechanical & electrical aptitude required to better understand the work our crews perform. Basic electrical theory and electrical knowledge preferred. Experience with batteries and UPS systems highly desired. Ability to manage multiple crews at multiple locations simultaneously. Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to multi-task and problem solve. Strong communication, organizational and time management skills. Excellent leadership and decision-making skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), plus the ability to learn company used applications. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work well with a small team.
