Operations Manager – Pipe & Steel Distributor (Richmond, VA)

Join one of the Mid-Atlantic’s largest and oldest family-owned suppliers of pipe, valves, fittings, and structural steel, renowned for our commitment to quality and comprehensive value-added services. We are seeking a results-oriented Branch Manager to lead our Richmond, VA distribution facility with a focus on lean manufacturing principles, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Apply lean manufacturing techniques to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve branch efficiency

Oversee inventory, logistics, and order fulfillment processes

Develop and maintain customer relationships

Lead, train, and motivate staff to achieve branch goals

Ensure compliance with safety and company policies

Monitor branch performance metrics and financials

Qualifications:

Demonstrated leadership experience in pipe, steel, or industrial distribution

Background in lean manufacturing or process improvement strongly preferred

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge of inventory management, logistics, and value-added services

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
