Opportunity

Elemental Energy is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support and execute the operational strategy of our renewable energy portfolio. Reporting to the Director, Project Operations, this role manages day-to-day operations, asset performance, and continuous improvement across wind, solar, hydro, and storage assets. The position is based out of Elemental Energy’s Vancouver head office, with flexibility to consider remote work for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

·        Manage day-to-day operations of renewable energy assets

·        Monitor performance metrics and operational KPIs

·        Coordinate maintenance and outage planning

·        Manage O&M vendors and contractors

·        Implement operational processes and reporting

·        Conduct site visits and inspections

·        Prepare reports for leadership and stakeholders

·        Escalate risks and issues with recommendations

·        Participate in portfolio and operations calls

·        Support and mentor junior staff

Key Attributes

·        Strong communication and organizational skills

·        Technical understanding of wind, solar, hydro, and storage

·        Ability to interpret drawings and data

·        High integrity and attention to detail

·        Willingness to travel

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, sustainability, technical school or equivalent experience.

Experience

4–7 years of experience in renewable energy operations, asset management, or related roles.  Experience with commercial contracts and contractor management is considered an asset.
