Overview
Develops a master production schedule of finished goods and coordinates production schedules with marketing, engineering and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Review daily customer requirements using MRP system, establish priorities, make schedule adjustments and expedite components as required to meet customer expectations.
- Plan and prepare daily and weekly production schedules based on capacity and requirements to ensure 100% on time delivery.
- Plan, schedule, and/or control assigned materials flow.
- Interface with multiple departments to coordinate a smooth material flow in support of production requirements.
- Monitor scheduled vs. actual production for variances, investigate causes and make recommendations for resolution.
- Analyze reports, identify problem areas and recommend solutions.
- Accurately maintain schedules and material requirements utilizing MRP system.
- Conduct annual excess and obsolete inventory review for the product line and make recommendations for disposition or utilization of such inventory.
- Support and achieve monthly forecasted sales goals for the product line.
Perform other assignments, tasks, or duties as requested, directed or assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Describe general working conditions (i.e. noise level, temperature, around heavy machinery)
Spends the majority of work time in a temperature-controlled office environment. Also may be exposed to the manufacturing facility where there is regular exposure to power machinery, varying heights, high noise levels, welding, moving components, grease, dirt, sharp objects and varying temperatures. Must have the ability to travel.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Describe amount and frequency of physical requirements of the position (i.e. lifting, pushing, and climbing).
Position may require standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, crawling and lifting of up to 50 pounds numerous times daily. PPE will be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or high school diploma or 5 - 10 years equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- MRP experience required, preferably EPICOR.
- Proficiency in multi - tasking with a strong attention to detail required.
Experience in Windows based computer applications and excellent oral and written communication skills required.
