Responsible for designing and optimizing fabrication processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Key duties include developing production methods, supporting technical troubleshooting, ensuring compliance with standards, and driving continuous improvement through Lean and Six Sigma principles. The role involves collaboration with design, quality, and operations teams, managing projects for new equipment or upgrades, and maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. Essential skills include knowledge of welding, machining, CAD/CAM tools, and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment for production.
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) by developing manufacturing plans and processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with quality, maintenance, and production teams to resolve technical issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Prepare and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and process optimization.
- Familiarity with CAD software and ERP systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with automation and robotics.
- CAD or SolidWorks proficiency
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Knowledge of CNC machining, welding, metal fabrication, brake press or other relevant processes.
