Position Overview:
As a Manufacturing Engineer at Montana Knife Company, you will play a crucial role in
optimizing our production processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and
implementing creative solutions to our manufacturing challenges. Your expertise in
manufacturing engineering will help us maintain our standards of excellence while increasing
efficiency and reducing waste.
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and workflows to enhance
- Design and employ advanced fixturing solutions for production manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues, ensuring
- Investigate, specify, and oversee the implementation of new production equipment and tooling.
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and propose actionable
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within manufacturing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years engineering experience, preferably in a production manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
- Ability to balance numerous projects simultaneously while driving progress and schedule
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work effectively in a collaborative
- Experience with production automation, vacuum heat treating, bevel and flat grinding, mass
- Experience with Fanuc industrial robotics and/or collaborative robots
