Manufacturing Engineer

Position Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer at Aqua-Chem will be responsible for supporting the production process to ensure optimization of cost, quality and on time delivery of products.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Location: Onsite; Knoxville, TN

Pay Range: Dependent on Experience | $85,000 - $135,000

Essential Duties:

- Update or emplace manufacturing work instructions plant wide.

- Develop standard labor hours and optimization of those hours.

- Design to value: improve new and existing manufacturing drawings for ease of manufacturing and reduction in cost without affecting safety, quality, form, fit, and function.

- Support purchasing: prepare scope of supply, to include instructions and drawings for suppliers.

- Support manufacturing “red lines” – incorporate minor manufacturing design change request(s) without disrupting manufacturing operations.

- Review of new manufacturing drawings for release

- Support Application in cost estimations.

- Support the aftermarket department with tasks such as finding replacements for obsolete parts, etc.

- Be a leader in completing the transformation into a data-driven organization.

- Report progress on initiatives and KPI’s.

- Documents potential risks or shortfalls in methods and processes

- Help develop a highly capable manufacturing support team.

- Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor

Education/Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience required

- 5+ years of experience in a capital equipment manufacturing environment preferred

- Ability to operate in Autodesk a plus

Requirements:

- Must be a U.S. Citizen

- Able to work overtime as required.
