This position is responsible for maintaining all processing, packaging and material handling equipment as well as the building and building support. Additional responsibilities include tooling, equipment enhancements, spare parts inventories and preventative maintenance.
- Maintaining all processing, packaging
- Material handling equipment to insure that the material flow is as uninterrupted as possible.
- Responsible for the implementation of a preventative maintenance program as well as all required documentation.
- Inventory of necessary spare parts.
- Responsible for completing specific, related tasks assigned by the Plant Manager.
- Maintain adequate levels of tooling at each machine to insure efficient operation.
- Address and react to operator request for enhancements to existing equipment.
- Assist other Ken-Mac locations with equipment repairs or enhancements.
- Assist with decisions on new or additional property, plant and equipment.
- Manage cleaning personnel to insure that the workplace is safe and clean and that work areas around equipment are unobstructed.
- Assist with the development of capital budgets and assist in maintaining those budgets.
- Assist Plant Manager improving productivity, product quality and reduced scrap levels.
- Assist Plant Manager with the plant safety program.
- This is a position that works directly on the warehouse on or around heavy machinery.
- Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes / Competencies.
- High School Diploma plus specific technical classes in blueprint reading and interpretation, electric drive system, hydraulic systems.
- Ten plus years’ experience with maintenance or manufacture of slitters or cut-to-length lines.
- Good communication and organization skills.
