Reports to: Supply Chain Planner / Buyer
The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting effective material flow throughout the facility. This role ensures materials are properly received, labeled, stored, issued, and transacted within the ERP system to support production schedules, purchasing accuracy, and on-time delivery.
The position works cross-functionally with Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and Finance to maintain inventory integrity, resolve discrepancies, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
The Inventory Control Clerk also provides backup support for warehouse operations as needed.
- Pull and stage materials for production jobs
- Prepare hardware bags and issue required job materials
- Manage returns from production job boards
- Deliver received and inspected materials to appropriate warehouse locations
- Maintain and reset Kanban cards
- Assist with creation of new Kanban items in coordination with Purchasing
- Label incoming materials
- Verify received material against purchase orders
- Document incoming material, including required photos
- Enter receipts into the ERP system (Epicor)
- Perform cycle counts per ERP requirements
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies
- Participate in annual physical inventory activities

- Forklift certification required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High degree of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic math and computer proficiency
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and navigate warehouse environments
