Inside Sales Representative

Curtis Steel is hiring an experienced Inside Sales Representative to support our fast-paced steel service center operation. This role is strictly inside sales—no outside territory, no road time. We’re looking for someone who understands steel products, service center quoting, and the pace required to support contractors, fabricators, and industrial customers.

Schedule: Monday–Friday Location: Las Vegas, NV

What you’ll do

- Quote and sell steel products to contractors, fabricators, and industrial accounts

- Handle inbound calls, build quotes quickly, and follow up to close orders

- Convert takeoffs/BOMs into accurate quotes (sizes, grades, lengths, quantities)

- Coordinate with purchasing and the shop/warehouse on availability, lead times, and substitutions

- Solve issues proactively (rush orders, alternates, delivery coordination, backorders)

- Enter orders, track job status, and keep customer/job notes organized in the system

- Maintain strong customer relationships through clear, responsive communication

Minimum qualifications

- 2+ years of inside sales experience in a steel service center (or closely related metals distributor)

- Strong knowledge of steel products and terminology (tube/pipe, plate, sheet, angle, channel, beam, bar, etc.)

- Ability to quote accurately under pressure while juggling multiple orders and priorities

- Strong attention to detail (grade, length, quantities, pricing, lead times)

- Professional phone skills and a customer-first, problem-solving mindset

- Dependable attendance and team-oriented attitude

Preferred qualifications

- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred

- Experience quoting from drawings, takeoffs, and job packages

- Familiarity with service center workflows (picking, cutting, processing, delivery coordination)

Important fit note: If you haven’t quoted steel in a service center environment, this role will not be a fit.
