The starting salary for this position is $60,000 annually. Compensation above the starting range may be offered based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated expertise.
The Inside Sales Representative supports revenue generation by preparing accurate sales quotations, maintaining customer relationships, and coordinating order fulfillment. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, sales, engineering, production, administration and shipping to ensure timely, compliant, and accurate order processing.
- Prepare, review, and submit sales quotations in accordance with customer requirements and internal guidelines.
- Develop pricing through product configuration and required mathematical calculations to ensure accuracy and profitability.
- Create new items and product configurations within the company’s ERP/software system as required to support quoting and order processing.
- Migrate approved sales quotations into formal sales orders and release them to Engineering, Production, Administration, and Shipping for processing.
- Quote pricing, credit terms, delivery timelines, and other bid specifications as applicable.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records within company systems.
- Verify customer credit information in accordance with company policies.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, and credit terms.
- Proactively contact customers to identify needs and recommend appropriate products or services.
- Communicate technical product and service information clearly and accurately to customers.
- Assist customers in product selection based on application requirements, specifications, and applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with internal teams to verify that delivery schedules align with project timelines.
- Inform customers of estimated delivery dates, warranties, service agreements, and other order-related details.
- Arrange delivery of goods or services and coordinate logistics as required.
- Record shipment data accurately for tracking and recordkeeping purposes.
- Prepare shipping documentation, such as bills of lading and shipping orders, to route materials appropriately.
- Coordinate with shipping carrier representatives to arrange transportation and issue shipping instructions.
- Determine appropriate shipping methods, routes, and rates to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a sales environment.
- Industry knowledge of server racks, network enclosures, or data center infrastructure preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Experience using label-making software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, customer-focused demeanor.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience with Sage 100 ERP software preferred but not required.
· Working knowledge of marketing tools preferred but not required, including familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
