Are you a skilled leader with a passion for technical excellence, customer service, and team development? We’re looking for a Field Service Manager to oversee the installation and repair of heating equipment—ensuring top-tier service, safety, and satisfaction for every customer we serve.
As our Field Service Manager, you’ll lead a team of talented service technicians and guide the daily operations of our service department. In this role, you will:
- Lead & Support Technicians: Manage performance, assign work efficiently, and maintain a high standard of service quality.
- Develop Talent: Train and mentor technicians to strengthen skills, support growth, and build a reliable, productive team.
- Recruit & Evaluate: Hire and help onboard new technicians, evaluate performance, and maintain clear documentation.
- Stay Current: Keep up with industry technologies through vendor communication and training opportunities.
- Ensure Quality Control: Inspect technician work, provide coaching, and maintain consistent service excellence.
- Resolve Customer Issues: Address concerns promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Oversee Vehicles & Equipment: Coordinate vehicle maintenance, enforce cleanliness standards, and ensure proper inventory.
- Provide Estimates: Prepare accurate internal cost and labor estimates for equipment installation projects.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with dispatch, sales, operations, and external officials to keep things running smoothly.
- Prioritize Safety: Oversee safety practices, PPE usage, hazardous materials handling, and vehicle safety.
- 2–4 years of supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of the petroleum industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership abilities and a passion for developing others
- Technical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Dependability, flexibility, and the ability to excel in a dynamic environment
- Solid delegation, follow-up, and quality control skills
- Customer-first mindset
- High school diploma required
- Master Oil Burner License
- CETP Propane Certification
You’ll regularly collaborate with our Administrative Service Manager, dispatchers, sales staff, technicians, inspectors, fire officials, and customers to provide seamless service and operational efficiency.
- Labor hour estimates and cost analysis for installation projects
- Scheduling decisions balancing emergencies, customer needs, and budget considerations
