C & G Electrical LLC is searching for a reliable full-time field safety representative. Bilingual is a must. Responsible for conducting compliance audits and assessments to ensure regulatory compliance including company and client policies are being implemented and followed. Must understand NFPA 70E, NESC electrical compliance, as well as OSHA 1910, 1926 regulations. Utility, Commercial and Industrial electrical experience is preferred but not required. The position reports to the HSE Manager and requires being on call 24/7, including weekends and holidays. This position works in the Pecos, TX and Carlsbad, NM areas. so incumbent must live preferably n the Pecos, TX area.
Daily Activities Include but not Limited to:
Promote and develop safe work behaviors by maintaining C&G Zero Harm Campaign, Assist the HSE Manager in coaching and correcting behaviors and conditions that could lead to an incident or accident, Conduct jobsite inspections and audits, Facilitate and lead Safety Meetings and or safety and equipment trainings, Respond to incidents or accidents that occur to assist with incident investigation and root cause, Assist in Qualified Electrical Professional evaluations held by the Managers/trainers, Supervise permitted work of Ground Disturbance and Excavations, Hot Works, Confined Space Entry. This position will also require the representative to work with outside organizations hired by C&G to perform services as a subcontractor. This role will require the representative to issue daily work permits and conduct audits on them regularly.
- Spend 80 – 90% of their time in the field conducting audits, assessments and inspections coaching and correcting and making recommendations.
- Interpret or translate safety policies, regulations and standards to employees.
- Keep current with local, state and federal regulations including OSHA and NFPA 70E.
- Calibrate Field Employees multigas monitors when needed
- Verify the availability and issuance of Personal Protective Equipment to field employees.
- Assist with client driven safety orientations, trainings, and other meetings.
- Transport employees to medical clinics and or drug and alcohol testing facilities when required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with KPA Flex EHS databases, Samsara and GoCanvas is preferred.
- Assist in ensuring safety compliance on each jobsite.
- Facilitate safety training and or certifications
- Evaluate drivers on a commentary drive and perform evaluations.
- Issue and Supervise Work Permits
- Inspect Subcontractors hired by C&G- 2+ years of Safety Experience is required - 2+ years of Electrical background is preferred
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be Bilingual (English and Spanish Speaking)
- Certified Health and Safety Official (CHSO) certification is preferred
- Must have Driver’s License or CDL
- Ability to Pass Motor Vehicle Record check
- Must pass a Drug and Alcohol Test
- Must posses a high degree of attention to detail
- Must be able to drive long distances
