Field Safety Advisor

Bill Wise’s Excavating, Inc. is seeking a motivated team member for the position of Field Safety Advisor for its Waynesburg PA area office. This position will work with our Operations and EHS teams to create and implement safety policies, perform audits, and generally ensure that Bill Wise’s Excavating, Inc. complies with all relevant health and safety regulations. The Field Safety Advisor will report directly to the Chief Safety Officer.

Core Responsibilities:

- Provide onsite safety oversite for work activities throughout PA and WV

- Create and implement safety-related audit program

- Develop and provide training for company employees and contractors

- Advise Operations and EHS teams on risk management issues and perform risk assessments

- Identify and communicate safety best management practices

- Ensure company compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations

- Investigate safety incidents and complaints to identify improvement areas and strategies

Job qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in safety management or a closely related field preferred (dedicated field safety experience may be considered in place of degree)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software

- Effective verbal and written communication skills

- 1-4 years of safety experience; (construction or oil and gas related experience preferred)
