The Field Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting and enforcing the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) program across oil and gas pipeline construction, repair, maintenance, and facility operations. This position works directly in the field to conduct inspections, audits, training, onboarding, and coaching to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and client safety standards. The Field Safety Representative partners closely with Operations, Supervision, and Management to promote a strong safety culture and ensure work is performed safely and efficiently. This position will travel locally throughout the Permian Basin based on job locations. Pay range is $70,000 - $85,000.

Ability to work the following schedule: 6:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Saturday; Occasional work on Sunday, as needed. Must be available for call-out on Sundays.
Must have valid driver’s license and pass an MVR for insurability.
MUST have reliable transportation to get to the office in Big Spring, TX daily. Company truck will be provided for going to job locations.
Ability to come into the office in Big Spring for an in-person interview. No Zoom/Teams interviews will be conducted for this position.
· Conduct routine and documented job site safety inspections and audits on active pipeline construction and maintenance projects.
· Verify compliance with company safety policies, site-specific safety plans, JSAs, and applicable OSHA and regulatory requirements.
· Inspect, maintain, and manage fire extinguishers, first aid kits, bloodborne pathogen (BBP) kits, and emergency response equipment.
· Inspect and track lifting slings, rigging, and lifting gear to ensure compliance with inspection and certification requirements.
· Inspect fall protection systems and equipment including harnesses, lanyards, anchor points, and rescue equipment.
· Inspect sandblasting and coating equipment, including air supply systems, hoses, nozzles, and respiratory protection equipment.
· Inspect and maintain atmospheric monitoring equipment, including calibration and documentation.
· Conduct equipment and facility safety inspections and audits, including heavy equipment, vehicles, tools, and temporary facilities.
· Assist with onboarding of field personnel, including safety orientations, training verification, and documentation.
· Deliver weekly safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job-specific training sessions.
· Coordinate and track annual and refresher safety training requirements for employees.
· Provide field coaching and mentoring to supervisors and crew members to reinforce safe work practices.
· Assist with incident, near-miss, and property damage investigations; document findings and corrective actions.
· Follow up on inspection and audit findings to ensure corrective actions are completed and documented.
· Coordinate drug and alcohol testing with field personnel, supervisors, and third-party providers as required.
· Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, training logs, and compliance documentation.
· Participate in project startup meetings, safety planning, and pre-job hazard assessments.
· Travel to and work at multiple job sites as required.
· Perform additional duties as assigned to support HSE, Operations, and company needs.
· Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices applicable to oil and gas pipeline construction.
· Familiarity with pipeline construction hazards including excavation, heavy equipment, lifting operations, confined spaces, hot work, and sandblasting.
· Knowledge of inspection requirements for safety equipment, tools, and PPE.
· Ability to conduct safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
· Ability to deliver safety training and communicate effectively with field personnel.
· Ability to work independently in field environments and manage multiple priorities.
· Proficiency with basic computer applications and safety reporting systems.
· Ability to write detailed reports in a legible and professional manner.
· Valid driver’s license required; must be able to pass motor vehicle verification.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, pipeline, or oil & gas.
· Lifting/Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance or mechanical aids.
· Standing/Walking: Frequent standing and walking on job sites, yards, and facilities.
· Postural Activities: Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and reaching during inspections.
· Climbing: Ability to climb ladders, equipment, trenches, and structures as required for inspections.
· Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle inspection tools, safety equipment, and documentation.
· Vision: Close and distance vision required to identify hazards, equipment conditions, and signage.
· Hearing: Ability to hear verbal instructions, alarms, and equipment noises in high-noise environments.
· Work is performed primarily in active outdoor construction environments and occasionally in office settings.
· Exposure to hazards including heavy equipment, traffic, excavation, sandblasting, noise, dust, chemicals, and varying weather conditions.
· Use of required PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, respiratory protection, and high-visibility apparel.
· Work schedule may include extended hours, weekends, and travel to support multiple projects.
· Atmospheric monitors, calibration equipment, and inspection tools.
· Safety equipment including fall protection, rigging inspection tools, fire extinguishers, and emergency response supplies.
· Computer, tablet, and reporting tools for documentation and training records.
· Company vehicles for travel to job sites and facilities.
· All equipment and vehicles must be used and maintained according to company policies and safety standards.
· Strict adherence to all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety plans.
· Responsibility to identify, document, and address unsafe conditions and behaviors.
· Participation in and leadership of safety meetings, audits, inspections, and training programs.
· Must ensure safety equipment, tools, and PPE are properly inspected, maintained, and documented.
· Must be capable of performing job duties safely without posing a direct threat to self or others.
