Dispatch/ coordinator

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Traffic Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain and transportation planning, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials.

Duties:

- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments

- Develop and assign delivery routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day

- Collaborate with Management and Sales to modify daily routes to accommodate the need of customers

- Communicate with drivers regarding any route changes

- Assist in designating outside vendor carriers/set up freight

- · Driver Logs, Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs), Driver Payroll, Truck/Trailer PM schedule, Mileage collection for trucks and trailers, Pre- receive material

- - Utilize GPS systems for route optimization- Analyze transportation data to improve efficiency- Communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal teams for timely deliveries- Assist in shipping and receiving operations- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) for transportation managementSkills:- Proficiency in transportation planning and logistics
