Custodian

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking an experienced Custodian for an opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness, safety, and operational standards within a secure DOE building. This role is critical to supporting the mission by ensuring a clean, orderly, and secure environment for staff and visitors.

Responsibilities:

- Perform cleaning and sanitization of offices, restrooms, hallways, production areas and common areas

- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to maintain a high standard of cleanliness

- Empty trash receptacles and recycling bins; ensure proper disposal in compliance with DOE protocols

- Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and sanitizers

- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently as needed (e.g., floor buffers, carpet cleaners)

- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or security concerns promptly

- Follow DOE security procedures and maintain confidentiality at all times

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- 3+ years of prior custodial or janitorial experience

- Experience performing custodial duties within a manufacturing environment highly preferred

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- US Citizenship required

- Ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance
