Duz Cho Construction is a rapidly growing heavy civil contractor with offices and operations in Northern BC and Alberta. Duz Cho is the largest First-Nation owned Construction company in BC, and we are looking to expand to meet our client’s needs in open-pit mining, logging, concrete, electrical, and heavy civil construction.
A Communications Manager is responsible for ensuring that the corporate image and messaging are modern and updated to represent Duz Cho’s mission. This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to recognize opportunities for improvement in synergies and promotability. The Communications Manager will keep Duz Cho’s image and integrity at the highest level while reporting directly to the CEO. You will lead Duz Cho’s external communications, brand expression, and targeted business-development support, working closely with the Senior Management team and high-level directors. Your focus will be on clarity, consistency, and long-term positioning across awards, publications, proposals, presentations, and digital platforms.
- Lead issues anticipation, scenario planning, and response strategy, proactively advising the CEO and executive leadership team on emerging reputational risks; • Support corporate communications initiatives including executive visibility, reputation building, brand consistency, and external storytelling; • Draft and edit press releases, website content, corporate messaging, and social media copy as needed; • Maintain consistent brand voice across all communications and channels; and, • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (HR, Business Development, Operations, etc.) to ensure alignment and message clarity.
- Oversee the intake, development, and production of project success stories for use across public relations, and internal broadcasts; • Build and manage a centralized story bank to support storytelling needs across multiple departments; and, • Company newsletter and promotional materials (brochures, project highlights)?
- Collaborate closely with the Directors of Operations and Business Development to align communications strategy, storytelling, and design execution. • Participate actively in Business Development Communications planning and project prioritization to ensure visibility of communication deliverables across teams. • Provide direction and guidance on external messaging, including advertising and paid media, as required.
- This is a senior communications role centered on brand positioning, cultural presence, and disciplined outreach—not sales, CRM administration, or high-frequency posting.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hour day
Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience
