Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the supervision of the activities and operations in the organization's collections functions

- Monitors the payment status of customers’ accounts and collection of delinquent accounts receivable.

General Tasks:

- Works with customers to make appropriate payment arrangements with management approval

- Prepares collections report detailing delinquent customers, identify trends of possible credit risks and effectively communicating information to internal and external customers; and provide other accounting reports and projects as needed

- Recommends accounts for 3rd Party Pursuit

- Achieves individual, department and company objectives with regard to cash collection

Skills:

• Competent with Microsoft Suite of Tools: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Knowledge of SAP preferred • Knowledge of Credit & Commercial laws

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles • Knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act

- Tactful dealing with internal sales reps as well as external customers

- Solid organization, analytical, negotiation and excellent professional verbal and written communications skills

- Team player with professional disposition, and positive creative problem-solving attitude

Education:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or related fields Experience • 3+ years of work experience in collections or accounting preferred.
