Accounting Manager - Critical Minerals

The Role

We are seeking an Accounting Manager

to support day-to-day accounting operations while playing a central role in audit readiness and pre-IPO preparation. This role offers direct exposure to external auditors, advisors, and senior leadership, with meaningful responsibility and growth potential.

The successful candidate will have a “front-row seat” to a reverse takeover transaction and US public listing process.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Close

- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and support the month-end close process

- Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses

- Maintain accurate, audit-ready financial records across multiple entities

Audit & Public Company Readiness

- Support external auditors in quarterly and annual audits

- Prepare financial statements and audit schedules

- Manage PBC requests, documentation, and auditor inquiries

- Assist with historical financial audits related to acquired entities

Tax & Compliance

- Support indirect tax filings (e.g., HST) and corporate tax information gathering

- Assist with CRA account administration and coordination with external tax advisors

Treasury & Payments

- Support weekly accounts payable runs and payment processing

- Maintain bank and credit card reconciliations

- Assist with multi-currency bank account management and access controls

Payroll & HR Administration

- Support payroll coordination with third-party providers

- Validate timesheets, expenses, and funding requirements

- Assist with resolving routine payroll and benefits issues

Cross-Functional Support

- Act as an administrative and financial liaison between management, auditors, tax advisors, and government or grant bodies

- Ensure timely information flow, organized documentation, and strong internal controls

Ideal Candidate Profile

- Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant level, with strong hands-on experience

- Experience supporting audits and working with external accounting firms

- Comfortable operating in a growing, multi-entity, international environment

- Interest in pre-IPO, M&A integration, and public company readiness

- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
