The Accounting Manager is a hands-on role responsible for managing and overseeing financial records, transactions, and reporting activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role supports the overall financial operations of the company and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams.
The Accounting Manager will oversee general ledger activities (with the support of two General Accountants), accounts payable and receivable functions, bank reconciliations, and monthly and year-end close processes. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrix organization.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions for accuracy and timeliness
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with general ledger accounting, including journal entries and month-end close
- Support the CFO with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and accounting principles
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing documentation and support as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams, external auditors, and external tax advisors to ensure financial accuracy and transparency
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance (preferred)- Fluent bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (required)
- Hands-on experience with SAP Business One (required)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and ERP systems
- Experience with multi-currency accounting and reporting
- Experience with intercompany reporting and shared services allocations in a matrix organization
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
