Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee and coordinate our organization’s financial activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in corporate accounting, and financial reporting, with a proven ability to manage complex financial processes. This role involves leading accounting operations, and mentoring accounting staff. Experience with Business Central and payroll accounting software and financial analysis is essential to support strategic decision-making and maintain the integrity of financial data.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
- Oversees the AP/AR clerk responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations, journal entries, and account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Perform detailed financial analysis, including cash flow analysis, forecasting, and variance analysis to support organizational financial health.
- Utilize accounting software, specifically Business Central.
- Processes bi-weekly payroll using payroll software. Reconciles and posts payroll. Responsible for all special payroll runs.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, including policies related to double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and other fundamental accounting principles.
- Coordinates external audits by providing necessary documentation and insights into financial processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Extensive experience in corporate accounting, with a strong background in financial statement preparation and general ledger reconciliation.
- Proficiency in various financial software, specifically Business Central or proven ability to master new accounting and payroll software.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex financial concepts such as accrual accounting and forecasting.
- Manufacturing and inventory experience preferred.
- Proven ability to mentor team members, foster collaboration, and lead process improvements.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy, detail orientation, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data for reporting purposes and communicate findings effectively to owners.
