seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping Supervisor to lead our International and Domestic shipping operations with energy and precision. - Supervise daily shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all outbound and inbound shipments.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to manage inventory control, including stock levels, order picking, packing, and materials handling.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 to track shipments, update records, and generate reports.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline warehouse distribution workflows.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and promote a safe working environment for all team members.
- Operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment safely for heavy lifting and materials handling tasks.
- Manage logistics partnerships including third-party logistics providers (3PL) to optimize shipping routes and delivery schedules.
- Minimum of 2-3 years Supervising shipping & receiving processes and documentation to ensure accurate logistics management.
- Strong Management skills with the ability to effectively lead and manage a team.
- Capable of operating forklifts and ensuring compliance with safety and operational guidelines.
- Excellent “Client-First” communication skills to manage inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain good client relationships via phone calls and emails.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to prioritize tasks and resolve challenges effectively.
- Ability to work on-site in Scott, LA with a proactive approach to managing daily operations.
- Experience working within e-commerce fulfillment centers or 3PL environments for small package, LTL and full truckload shipments to optimize freight costs, routing, and transit times is highly desirable.
