This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and high‑quality operation of all shipping activities. The position provides active leadership on the floor, drives a culture of safety and operational excellence, and ensures all safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently met. The role coordinates closely with production teams to maintain accurate scheduling, on time shipment, and proper documentation. In addition, this position supports continuous improvement efforts, personnel training, and adherence to established procedures—while effectively prioritizing daily activities and utilizing resources to achieve operational goals.
Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

- Active shipping leadership and presence.
- Develop and maintain a culture of safety, environmental, and operational excellence.
- Coordinate communication between production shift supervisors to produce and ship the right products on time.
- Back up production scheduler during vacations / time out of the plant.
- Accurately record and post production as required.
- Accurately approve and record employee time as required per policies/contract.
- Train and coach personnel on plant policies.
- Utilize Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP) to drive operational excellence.
- Lead continuous improvement teams.
- Provide input into development of 5 year plan/vision for operations; support projects as required to execute plan.
- Meet/exceed housekeeping standards and requirements.
- Develop written operating procedures as required.
- Appropriately prioritize daily planned and unplanned work.
- Effectively utilize resources to complete objectives.
- Perform other related duties as required.

- The candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred – in a technical field is a plus.
- Requires demonstrated experience in overseeing/leading operations and a proven track record for continuously improving operations
