Job Summary

A&S Metal Recycling is seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to oversee daily inbound and outbound operations involving Non-Ferrous, high-temperature alloys, titanium, and specialty metals at our Los Angeles facility. This role ensures safe, accurate, and efficient material handling while supervising yard and warehouse staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise shipping and receiving of high-temperature alloys, titanium, and specialty metals

- Coordinate inbound and outbound truck traffic and material flow

- Verify weights, scale tickets, bills of lading, and material certifications

- Ensure proper segregation, identification, and handling of specialty alloys

- Enforce safety, environmental, and quality standards

- Train, schedule, and supervise shipping/receiving personnel

- Communicate with drivers, vendors, brokers, and internal teams

- Maintain accurate inventory and shipping records

- Keep work areas organized and compliant with facility standards

Qualifications

- 2–5+ years experience in shipping & receiving, preferably in metal recycling, aerospace metals, or specialty alloy environments

- Supervisory or lead experience required

- Knowledge of Non-Ferrous, high-temperature alloys and titanium strongly preferred

- Experience with scale operations, documentation, and material traceability

- Ability to work in an outdoor industrial setting

- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

- Forklift experience a plus

Pay: From $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
