Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth warehouse operations, timely order fulfillment, and optimal inventory management. Responsibilities

- Receive incoming shipments by verifying delivery documents, inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies, and recording receipt in the warehouse management system (WMS).

- Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling products according to customer specifications and shipping standards.

- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely to load and unload trucks, move stock within the warehouse, and facilitate order picking.

- Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular stock counts, updates in the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system, and proper stock rotation.

- Ensure all shipments are correctly documented; prepare shipping labels and customs documentation as needed.

- Assist with order fulfillment processes including picking, packing, order picking, and stocking to meet delivery deadlines.

- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by adhering to safety protocols and conducting routine inspections of equipment such as load & unload stations.

Qualifications

- Proven warehouse experience with a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes.

- Valid forklift certification with experience operating reach trucks and pallet jacks.

- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and AS400 or similar ERP platforms.

- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and calculations related to shipping weights or quantities.

- Experience with order picker equipment and packaging techniques for e-commerce orders.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.
