Are you interested in being part of a company that believes in the pursuit of excellence, conducting work in a safe and sustainable manner and being courageous and creative in everything we do? When you join TAQA North, you will be joining a company that believes in collaboration, supporting professional development and being active members in the communities where we operate. We strive to create a work environment that is productive and profitable as well as challenging and enjoyable. With field operations in Alberta, we deliver production of approximately 80,000 barrels of oil equivalent/day.

TAQA North is seeking a Senior Marketing Representative to play a key role in shaping and executing the commercial strategy for our Natural Gas, Crude Oil, and NGL portfolio. As a senior member of a small, highly collaborative marketing team, you will influence strategic decision‑making, drive value creation, and support the organization with deep commercial insight. Reporting to the Manager, Marketing, this role offers the opportunity to meaningfully impact corporate performance.

In this role, you will lead complex commercial evaluations, structure and negotiate high‑value agreements, and steward the optimization of TAQA’s marketing portfolio. You will partner closely with operations, development, finance, and executive stakeholders to support strategic planning and maximize asset value. If you excel in a dynamic environment and are looking for a senior individual contributor position that blends strategy, analytics, and commercial leadership, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide senior‑level commercial expertise for TAQA North’s Natural Gas, Crude Oil, and NGL portfolio, ensuring strong market positioning and sustained profitability.

- Independently evaluate, structure, and execute complex marketing and transportation opportunities, using advanced analysis to optimize netbacks and guide strategic decisions.

- Lead negotiations for contracts, transportation agreements, and commercial arrangements, ensuring optimal terms and long‑term value capture.

- Develop and oversee robust production and revenue forecasting, supporting budgeting, long‑range planning, and executive reporting.

- Cultivate strong, strategic relationships with purchasers, pipeline operators, transport providers, marketers, and internal decision‑makers.

- Ensure rigorous contract administration, data integrity, and compliance across all marketing activities.

- Identify and unlock commercial optimization opportunities, leveraging infrastructure, market dynamics, and TAQA’s portfolio to enhance value.

- Act as a subject‑matter resource to internal teams, providing insight on market trends, price drivers, transportation constraints, and commercial risk.

- Leverage assets to contribute to marketing value-add.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.

- 15+ years of progressive experience in oil and gas marketing, commercial operations, or commodity trading.

- Demonstrated expertise in economic modeling, market analysis, and commercial evaluation, with advanced proficiency in Excel or analytical tools.

- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable commercial outcomes.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions at multiple levels.

- Proven ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with pipeline scheduling systems, marketing accounting workflows, and contract lifecycle management.

- Strong familiarity with Western Canadian energy markets, transportation infrastructure, pricing dynamics, and regulatory considerations.

- Prior experience providing commercial guidance to cross‑functional teams.
