The Purchasing Agent is responsible for managing procurement activities to support production and operational needs. This role involves sourcing materials, negotiating pricing, issuing purchase orders, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement processes and demonstrate strong organizational and negotiation skills.
· Purchase raw materials based on inventory requirements and job demand.
· Obtain competitive pricing for job bids and ensure cost efficiency.
· Issue purchase orders (POs) and verify receipt of materials against them.
· Resolve discrepancies in deliveries and maintain supplier relationships.
· Monitor stock levels and coordinate material issuance to jobs.
· Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
· Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
· Keep detailed records of purchases, pricing, and material usage.
· Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
