Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer - Purchasing Agent to join our procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services essential to our operations. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, inventory control, and procurement processes, with proficiency in ERP systems such as Starbuilder, Tekla, WKS2000, and etc. The Buyer will collaborate closely with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of quality goods at optimal costs, supporting production planning and overall business objectives.
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities including sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of materials and services.
- Utilize ERP systems such as such as Starbuilder, Tekla, WKS2000, and etc. to process purchase orders, track inventory levels, and monitor supply chain activities.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities based on quality, cost, delivery times, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure favorable terms and continuous supply.
- Collaborate with production planning, logistics, inventory management, and merchandising teams to align procurement strategies with operational needs.
- Monitor inventory levels using inventory management systems and implement effective inventory control measures.
- Analyze pricing trends and negotiate contracts to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Coordinate with supply chain partners to streamline logistics and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions and supplier performance metrics.
- Support sourcing initiatives for e-commerce platforms and assist in contract management related to procurement activities.
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles within manufacturing or supply chain environments.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems such as such as Starbuilder, Tekla, WKS2000, and etc.
- Knowledge of materials management, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), inventory management, logistics, and supply chain management principles.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms with suppliers.
- Familiarity with contracts management, pricing strategies, production planning, merchandising, and e-commerce operations is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data related to procurement metrics and market trends.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and negotiating with suppliers.
- Proficiecny in Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
