The Saskatchewan Research Council’s (SRC) Rare Earth Element Division has an opening for a Project Coordinator to support project scheduling, tracking, reporting, documentation preparation, and coordination for the Research and Development team.
- Provide assistance to the Project Manager with developing, updating, and maintaining project schedules, ensuring timely allocation of resources
- Support the creation of procedures and timelines for project activities, monitoring progress, evaluating risks, and assisting with logistical planning
- Assist the Project Manager with identifying and assigning tasks driven from a project schedule, monitoring activity tracking, implementing reporting processes for team members, and preparing and distributing regular status, cost and progress reports to stakeholders
- Aid in the coordination and management of vendors and contractors by issuing instructions, monitoring responses, and maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Support budget tracking and updates by preparing and issuing reports, project proposals, and work package instructions as needed
- Ensure accurate management and organization of all project documentation and records
- Organize and facilitate project meetings, including preparing agendas, recording minutes, identifying tasks, and action items and distributing relevant information to the project team in a timely manner
- Provide coordination support across multiple projects with varying subject matter and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience coordinating projects in engineering, research and development, or industrial fields
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset
- Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project
- Strong communication, time management, organizational, and administrative skills
- Ability to problem solve and think critically
- Adaptable to changing priorities and project needs
The chosen candidate will also be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
