What You Will Be Doing
Job Summary:The Production Supervisor of the Pack, Load, Shipping (PLS) Department oversees all operations in the department as a hands-on-leader, serving and motivating team members, leading by example, and fostering a positive team-building atmosphere. This position is responsible for continuously improving all outbound, and internal inventory movement. The position is accountable for the Health, Safety and Welfare of a portion of all team members. This position reports to the Assistant Manager PLS.

- Extrusion manufacturing experience preferred.
- Shipping/Packing and Loading knowledge a plus
- Leadership in a Union environment a plus.
- Supervision, training, and direct assistance of the departments operations which include, but not limited to, loading, /unloading, receiving, sorting, put away, packing, and inventory control.
- Leading by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.
- Drive an efficient and motivated workforce by providing effective coaching, feedback, and encouragement.
- Complete and deliver employee documentation, training, and performance reviews.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels by leading regular physical cycle counts when necessary and reconcile discrepancies with the inventory system.
- Ensure a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and adhering to standard operational procedures.
- Measure and report KPIs and operational metrics as needed.
- Responsible for time keeping entries and ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Responsible to manage manning rosters and processing corrective actions with fairness, consistency and timeliness.
- Other duties as assigned.
