- Process hourly payroll weekly using UKG system
- Manage electronic timekeeping system
- Update attendance records and reports
- Reconcile deductions
- Issue manual checks and generate required reports
- Monitor absences to ensure compliance with attendance policy, disability plans and Family Medical Leave of Absence (FMLA) regulations
- Monitor vacation time
- Complete job verifications and payroll related forms
- Maintain payroll, personnel, & attendance files
- Coordinate benefits administration
- Provide information and answer employee questions regarding payroll related matters.
- Assist managers with administrative functions including reporting
- Manage and direct employee relations programs and events
- Monitor compliance of company policies and applicable laws and regulations
- All other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or G.E.D. desired
- 2+ years of experience utilizing a computerized payroll database. Current system experience preferred.- Working knowledge of multi-state and federal payroll taxes
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and to handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time. Must have manual dexterity needed to type on a computer keyboard.
- Continual hand/wrist motion is required to operate computers and office machinery
- Must be able to occasionally stoop and/or bend to perform general office duties such as filing
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Physically capable of climbing stairs
