Job Summary
Wear-Tek is a Spokane, WA steel foundry, primarily servicing the aggregate and agricultural industries with quality, high volume wear parts. We are looking for a journeyman pattern maker or an experienced production woodworker to join our Pattern Shop team.
This is an hourly, full time, day shift position with flexible starting hours, paid holidays, vacation, company subsidized medical, and company paid dental, vision, life and disability benefits that begin after 60 days. We also offer monthly profit sharing after 3 months of employment and fully vested 401K with company match after 1 year.

- $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, with regularly scheduled raises based on tenure, work quality, performance, attendance and team work.

- Accrued paid time off.- 3 + years of professional experience with basic woodworking hand and power tools or proof of Journeyman Pattern Maker status.
- Have available commonly used tools for woodworking lay-out and repair.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively at all times.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours a day and lift up to 60 lbs. repeatedly.
- Ability to be at work, on time, when scheduled.
- Ability and willingness to learn from teammates to expand your knowledge base.
Non-Journeyman Pattern Maker Candidates - Must Demonstrate the following at the time of the interview:
- Knowledge of proper use and function of production wood shop power tools including vertical mills, disc sanders, band saw, planer, jointer, etc.
- Proficiency at basic math including basic algebra and geometry.
- Proficiency at reading and interpreting drawing information.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test occupational health screening.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, type, or feel. The employee is required to stand; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high noise, consistent with a woodworking shop and machine facility.
- All employees are required to report any safety concerns and encourage the safety of others.
- All Employees working in the pattern shop areas are required to wear steel-toed leather boots with a minimum 6” ankle height, approved safety glasses, and hearing protection while working near operating equipment.
- Safety training and following safety policies and procedures for each department is required.
