Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. - Manage daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy across all financial records
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions promptly and accurately
- Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements
- Prepare financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and budget analysis to support management decision-making
- Maintain organized records of financial transactions, supporting documentation, and audit trails in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Support administrative duties such as managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and maintaining office supplies
- Proven experience with accounting software including QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero or similar platforms; familiarity with GAAP standards is essential
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial concepts
- Experience with governmental or non-profit accounting is a plus
- Ability to perform account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately
- Knowledge of technical accounting practices such as journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation
- Excellent attention to detail with proficiency in 10-key typing for data entry accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills for preparing financial reports and collaborating across teams
