We are seeking a Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day financial operations of our business. This role includes bookkeeping, invoicing, accounts receivable, and general financial administration. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, issuing timely invoices, and supporting the broader financial management of the company.
We are looking to add someone to our financial management team who aligns with both our purpose and our processes.
If you are a bookkeeper with a minimum of two years of experience working with financial systems in a bookkeeping role, you may be a good fit for us, and we may be a good fit for you.
As a bookkeeper, you are comfortable working in a dynamic environment. Our client base is diverse, our work is technical, and no two days are exactly the same. This variety creates opportunities to deepen your existing skill set while also expanding into new areas of support across our project lifecycle. If that sounds interesting, read on.
We are looking for individuals who are trained bookkeepers or who have significant, proven experience. Experience working with engineering or engineering-technology companies is considered an asset, as our work is technical in nature and you will be supporting financial reporting tied to technical projects and client requirements.
Work ethic matters here. We are a no-drama, high-functioning team of professionals who take pride in being good stewards of our clients’ funds and the time they have entrusted to us. We value focus, accountability, and follow-through.
This is a place where people come to work with intention. We do not measure success by how busy we look, but by what we get done. At the end of the day, we like being able to say we worked hard, did the job well, and moved things forward. If that resonates with you, you will fit in well.
Training and experience in the following areas are considered assets:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong working knowledge of Excel (this is essential due to our reporting and tracking requirements)
- Technical diploma or certificate in bookkeeping or accounting
- Exposure to or experience with OpenInvoice (an asset, but not a requirement. We will train the right candidate)
All identified skills will be evaluated during the interview process for candidates selected to proceed.
- This is primarily an in-office role due to operational requirements; however, BTI does support flexible working arrangements where appropriate.
- Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada without corporate or personal sponsorship and be eligible to work in the United States and abroad.
- You must be located in Calgary or the surrounding area, or be willing to relocate at your own expense.
- Going the extra mile when the job, schedule, or client requires it is part of the role.
