Job Summary
The Account Solutions Manager plays a critical role in driving sales growth by combining technical knowledge with strong customer relationship skills. This position focuses on understanding customer needs, developing cost-effective solutions, and selling sheet metal fabrication services, including laser cutting, bending, welding, and machining. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of machining processes as well as sheet metal manufacturing processes and be able to translate technical capabilities into value for customers.
Key Responsibilities
•Develop and maintain relationships with Program and Project customers, ensuring a strong pipeline of repeat and new business.
•Work closely with the estimating team to generate accurate quotes and ensure competitive pricing strategies.
•Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop feasible manufacturing solutions based on customer requirements.
•Identify new business opportunities within the sheet metal fabrication industry, including expanding direct-to-machining sales.
•Conduct on-site visits and customer consultations to understand project requirements and address technical questions.
•Communicate with internal departments, including scheduling, quality, and production, to align customer expectations with shop capabilities.
•Stay up to date on industry trends and advancements to provide customers with innovative and cost-effective solutions.
•Prepare and deliver technical presentations and sales proposals to prospective clients.
•Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues related to pricing, lead times, quality, and order fulfillment.
Qualifications & Skills
•Advanced knowledge of machining processes required.
•Experience in sheet metal fabrication, machining, or related manufacturing industry.
•Strong understanding of fabrication processes (laser cutting, press brake bending, welding, powder coating, and assembly).
•Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD files.
•Strong communication and negotiation skills with a customer-focused mindset.
•Experience using an ERP system (preferably M1) for quoting and order management.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
•Problem-solving skills and ability to balance technical and commercial decision-making.
•Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business (preferred but not required).
