Summary
The Inside Sales Representative Trainee serves as the initial point of contact between our customers and our company, assisting in translating customer needs into proposals for new products, complex systems, applications, and WIP jobs. This role requires the ability to learn and understand customer requirements, support the selection and sizing of appropriate solutions, and assist in presenting offers to customers. The Inside Sales Representative Trainee focuses on providing support for a single product line and/or applications and facilitates quotations for parts and buy-out items as needed.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a basic knowledge of the company’s services, product lines, sales territories, product applications, and pricing structures.
- Quoting products and pre-assemblies.
- Quoting a single product line within the vertical.
- Verifying pricing.
- Sourcing material. Collaborate with Account Managers, Operations, and Production Coordinators to address customer service issues.
- Learn to develop and maintain customer trust in the company as a quality, value-added solutions provider.
- Support Inside Sales Representatives and Managers within the vertical and occasionally other vertical teams with similar duties and responsibilities.
Positional Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Alternatively, at least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Basic mechanical aptitude - preferred.
- Enthusiasm to learn and grow within the role.
- Ability to perform job functions with supervision.
- Clear background check and drug/alcohol screening.
- Broad interests and willingness to engage in continuous learning and development.
- Lifting up to 25 pounds
- Bending, stooping, ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelines
