Duration: Summer 2025 (May/June - August) with option to extend



Hours: 30 - 35 hours per week


Compensation: $21.00 - $24.00/hour based on background and experience



Position Overview:


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern. This is a 3-month full-time internship that will provide you with valuable hands-on experience in the field of human resources to assist with two key projects within our HR department. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the development of HR communications, policy review, online communication repository and employee engagement. Additional opportunities to assist with recruiting scheduling and document control are possible. As an HR Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and gain exposure to different areas of HR, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training and development. This role will report to the Sr HR Generalist and will work closely with the HR Director.



Essential Job Functions

Project One: Develop and populate HR Information Hub
+ Collaborate with the IT team to develop an online HR information hub. + Gather input from employees to "brand" the online HR hub. + Populate the HR hub with relevant materials. + Create company-wide communications to announce the new HR hub.

Project Two: Review and Finalize Employee Handbook
+ Review the updated Employee Handbook and policies and procedures. + Highlight any changes requiring discussion with HR leadership. + Work with publishing department to create a final version of the Employee Handbook. + Assist with collecting employee signatures on the handbook.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to:
+ Assist with the recruitment process by posting job ads and scheduling interviews + Maintain employee records and update HR databases + Provide administrative support to the HR team as needed + Consistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled is an essential responsibility of this position.


This is a hybrid role requiring three days in-office with Tuesday and Wednesday as mandatory in-office core days.




Job Qualifications


Education, Certification or Formal Training:

High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Preference given to candidates pursuing degree in human resources, business, communications or related discipline.
Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 during the last completed semester or quarter
