The HRIS Intern is expected to report to Fluence’s office when working.
- Open HR office mail, scan and distribute to appropriate HR teams
- Complete employment verification and travel letter requests
- Field employee inquiries from email inboxes / ticketing system and escalate as appropriate
- Migrate digital and physical employee documents into Workday
- Coordinate with Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, IT, Finance, Payroll, and HR Business teams to ensure smooth onboarding for new hires
- Communicate with IT and Finance teams to arrange equipment and credit card provisioning for new hires
- Perform outreach and field questions from new hires regarding joining questions
- Arrange IT, HR, Benefits, and Safety orientation meetings for new hires
- Complete Form I-9 for U.S. new hires
- Execute employee data transactions (hire, termination, job changes) in Workday at the request of HR teams
- Coordinate with Payroll team on employee payments and pay changes
- Perform specified data audits to ensure correctness of employee data
- Complete user acceptance testing in Workday on specific scenarios and functionality at the direction of the HRIS team
- Other projects as assigned as Workday competency develops

- Openness to training/learning the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system
- Curious mindset: ask questions, identify issues, suggest potential process improvements
- Ability to communicate effectively via email, Microsoft Teams, and face-to-face
- Gain familiarity with the purpose and inner workings of Human Resources at a global, public company
- Develop process-oriented and operational mindset to drive efficiencies and support business success
- Develop competency with basic HR Information System (HRIS) functionality
