About the Role:
The Water Department is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Front Desk Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for greeting customers, processing payments, and maintaining accurate filing systems. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide excellent customer service.
· Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone.
· Accept and process payments for water services (cash, check, and electronic).· Issue receipts and maintain accurate transaction records.
· File documents and maintain organized records for customer accounts.· Respond to inquiries regarding billing, service, and department policies.
· Assist with data entry and other administrative tasks as needed.
· Previous experience in customer service, cashiering, or office administration preferred.
· Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and payment processing systems).
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 20 pounds
