Assist the Maintenance Tech in performing scheduled and emergency maintenance and repair duties associated with the operation of a water or wastewater facility. Reports to the facility maintenance tech they are assisting and the Facility Maintenance Supervisor.
- Maintains facilities by scheduling and performing preventative maintenance on pumps and motors, clarifiers along with other facility equipment.
- Investigate and perform minor repairs at facilities.
- Perform task using the proper hand tools or power tools for the required task.
- Records tasks performed and have ability to complete data on tablet.
- On call duty required for emergency repairs when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School or GED
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- People Skills
- Recommend achieving water and wastewater certifications
· Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance
· Must be able to push, pull and/or lift items weighing approximately 50 lbs. Subject to exposure to dust, fumes, vibration, noise and dirty working conditions.
· Work Environment: Tasks involve the intermittent performance of physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and that may involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds).
· Physical strength and agility sufficient to do strenuous tasks under varying weather conditions.
