Maintenance Assistant Needed!

This position will assist the Lead Maintenance position in performing a variety of mechanical repair, and maintenance along with performing a variety of other functions as needed. Majority of tasks involve automotive maintenance and repairs as we have a fleet of pick-up trucks. Handyman skills are beneficial.

Accountabilities

- Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair and reports them to the Maintenance Manager,

- Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs,

- Performs general repairs on equipment that do not require a specialized technician,

- Performs routine maintenance on building systems and equipment,

- Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities,

- Takes direction from the Maintenance lead,

- Works overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

- High School diploma or G.E.D.

- Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge and skills

- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and HVAC is helpful

- May learn welding of metal

- Willingness to learn more in depth skill and knowledge

- Organized and ability to work independently

- Ability to take instruction and apply to tasks at hand

- Good attendance and dependable.
