- Assist in the fabrication of metal components using various hand tools and power tools, including saws, grinders, and drills
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication
- Operate welding equipment such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and
- Use measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and plasma cutters to achieve precise dimensions and cuts
- Support the assembly of ductwork, piping, or structural frameworks according to project specifications
- Conduct basic math calculations for measurements, material estimates, and quality checks
- Utilize rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and positioning during fabrication processes
- Follow safety protocols related to machinery operation, welding standards (including ASME codes & standards), and construction site procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety guidelines at all times
- Collaborate with team members on projects involving machining, soldering, pipe threading, or mechanical assembly
- Construction site experience or familiarity with manufacturing environments is preferred but not mandatory; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, welding techniques (MIG, TIG, FCAW), and blueprint reading is advantageous
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and material estimations
- Mechanical aptitude with an interest in fabrication processes such as plasma cutting or press brake operations
- Strong attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination for precision tasks like caliper/micrometer readings or schematic interpretation
- Willingness to follow safety procedures rigorously in a fast-paced environment involving heavy equipment like cranes or forklifts
- Good communication skills; able to work effectively within a team setting on diverse projects involving ductwork, piping, or structural assembly
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials safely, and perform manual tasks required in fabrication work
