Senior Fabricator

At JW Hicks, we are looking for talented individuals to join our growing team in Knox, Indiana. Currently we are looking to add an experienced fabricator. We have a passion for producing the best refractory products on the market and are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and heart for "Doing it Right."

Senior Fabricator Job Responsibilities

- Weld and fabricate products as indicated on mechanical drawings

- Operate cutting tools and grinders to prepare components

- Maintain raw material and product identification to insure traceability

- Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition

Senior Fabricator Minimum Requirements

- Mechanical and mathematical aptitude

- 8-10 years' Mig and Tig welding/fabricating experience

- Competence in interpreting mechanical drawings and weld symbols

- Ability to use precision measuring equipment

- Ability and willingness to learn

- High school diploma or equivalent

Senior Fabricator Desired Skills

- Familiarity with forklift operation

- Familiarity with rigging and use of overhead crane
