Fabricator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fabricator. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw materials into precise, high-quality components through various fabrication techniques. Our fabricators weld carbon steel, aluminum and stainless steel for architectural and industrial projects.

Responsibilities

- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate metal components and assemblies

- Operate welding equipment including MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding).

- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other materials

- Measure materials precisely with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices to ensure dimensional accuracy

- Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate measurements and dimensions

Skills and Requirements

- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, and FCAW techniques for welding various types of metals.

- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with confidence

- Familiarity with the use of calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and press brake machines

- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks

- Experience working with sheet metal or structural steel.

- Ability to operate forklifts, shop cranes or other material handling equipment

- Willingness to help in other areas of the company as needed (driving, press brake and laser cutting areas, light machining work).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
