Custodian, Active Q Clearance

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Custodian with an Active Q Clearance opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN.

This position will be part-time (approximately 15 – 20 hours per week)

An active or recently active DOE “Q” Clearance is required

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness, safety, and operational standards within a secure DOE building. This role is critical to supporting the mission by ensuring a clean, orderly, and secure environment for staff and visitors.

Responsibilities:

- Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of offices, restrooms, hallways, production areas and common areas

- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to maintain a high standard of cleanliness

- Empty trash receptacles and recycling bins; ensure proper disposal in compliance with DOE protocols

- Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and sanitizers

- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently as needed (e.g., floor buffers, carpet cleaners)

- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or security concerns promptly

- Follow DOE security procedures and maintain confidentiality at all times

Qualifications:

- Active or recently active DOE Q Clearance required

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- US Citizenship required
