Commercial Driver's License Driver

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating various types of trucks and trailers to ensure the safe and timely delivery of freight across designated routes. The ideal candidate will have experience in truck driving, route management, and load handling, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Responsibilities

- Operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.

- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols.

- Drive assigned routes, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations.

- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness.

- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records.

- Follow all traffic laws and company policies during route driving.

- Assist with securing loads and verifying cargo before departure.

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during transit.

Experience

- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type (manual transmission experience preferred).

- Proven experience in truck driving, including freight delivery, route driving, and load & unload operations.

- Experience operating specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is a plus.

- Prior work with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tanker trucks, or tractor-trailers is highly desirable.

- Demonstrated ability to handle freight safely and efficiently across various truck types including roll-off trucks.

- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards related to commercial driving.

- Delivery driver experience preferred; familiarity with freight handling is advantageous.
